As you may have read in one of my previous blogs, my racing goal for 2021 is to go back to racing as much as I can. In 2020, COVID-19 locked us into only racing modifieds. This season, we will be running super pro truck, late model, and modifieds. We will be running more races this year than we ever have, including racing at Evergreen Raceway in Drums, Pennsylvania.
We’ve known the track for many years as Mountain Speedway, but ownership has changed and it has now re-opened and re-branded as Evergreen Raceway. The team and I will be heading to PA for open practice on April 11th. Then, opening day is May 2nd and we will be there. The Outlaw Motorsports team couldn’t be more excited about getting out to different races again. We’ll be racing tour modified and it should be a day filled with high energy.
The track is celebrating the 2021 season opener with family entertainment from Norman Amusements. They will feature games, rides and traditional fair food. If you can, come visit us in Pennsylvania and be sure to say hello. Find out more about the track, their schedule for the season and details about opening day by clicking here.
For now, we will be busy preparing the No. 98 car and the rig for a busy season ahead. Inspections took place last weekend at Riverhead Raceway, our home track. All went well. Can’t wait to see you out there!
